Infraday Midwest 2026

Infraday Midwest 2026 was a fun conference that looked at a large spectrum of infrastructure topics across Midwest. It was an honor to share the panel with Tyson Warner, FAICP and Mark Nicholson to discuss “The Midwest Infrastructure Opportunity — The Next 10 Years!”
I believe the vision should always be about “People”! A future where people of all ages and abilities can make a choice for the mode of travel to jobs, education, health care, recreation and outdoor social life. No matter what new technology or mobility solution would be out on our streets, the fundamental need for equitable and safe access to resources and opportunities would remain the same.
We touched upon a range of transportation related topics from bike infrastructure to the recent transit reform legislation. We talked about what connected communities would mean for Midwest! Even going to the length of discussing how projects across state lines should connect communities with an example of Old Plank Road Trail project that is being led by Cook County on Illinois side and similarly there are efforts on Indiana side to connect it to Pennsy Greenway.
We were the concluding panel of the conference and we claim to be the coolest ones to talk about the future of Midwest!
